I’m an elf!

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Bard Mage

Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Secondary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Deity:
Hanali Cenanil is the Chaotic Good elven goddess of love, beauty, and art. She is also known as the Heart of Gold and Lady Goldheart. Her followers delight in creation and youth, and work to spread happiness, love, and beauty. Their preferred weapon is the dagger.

It’s not child-safe.

One for My Husband

When we got married, we were used to very different sleep patterns. I had been working for six months at a job that had me getting up around 5am every day to try to get in early so I could finish early. Matt had just “graduated” college and was used to staying up past midnight and then sleeping until at least 8 or 9, often later. He was NOT an early riser. He still isn’t. I’ve tried and tried to get him to wake up with me. Even just to wake up when I get ready to leave. He’ll get up to see me off, but then he either goes back to sleep, or has a very unproductive morning until he can “wake up.” He says he just can’t be a morning person, but I have found someone who disagrees. Steve Pavlina seems to think that it’s possible to actually become an early riser. We’ll have to see if his theories work for Matt… only time will tell.

The Worst Part

The worst part about having such a wonderful husband who takes good care of me is that he makes me take my vitamins. The absolute most awful thing about my morning is having to choke them down. But he cares, so he makes me.

Better than Getting Married

With just a little over two weeks until Matt is finally baptized and fully initiated into the Church, I’m starting to realize that this is MUCH better than getting married. Fewer things to plan and/or coordinate, fewer expenses, more excitement and, best of all, my mom is cooking.

And as we prepare to conclude our lenten journeying, Matt got a bit of good news in his quest for perfect employment. He has a job interview on Tuesday. What a marvelous Easter present it would be if he could get an offer.

Say some extra prayers if you have time!
