Offer is Written

We met with our realtor last night & wrote up our offer. I forgot to take the check book, so I have to fax a copy of our hand money check this morning when I get in to work, then our realtor will send everything over to the other realtor & we’ll wait. In the offer, we said we wanted an answer by Thursday. If they accept & everything goes well, we’ll close on April 28.

Making an Offer

We’re meeting with our realtor tonight to make an offer on a house. No pictures yet, but if/as soon as it’s ours you can bet there will be more pictures than you’d ever want to see :)
The house is in a good, central location for both of our jobs. It’s a bank repo, so pray that the only things that fail the house inspection are the things we already know about.
It used to be a 2 bedroom, 2 bath ranch with a two-car garage, kitchen, living room, dining room and tiny extra room. Now, it’s a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath ranch with office, game room, kitchen, living room, dining room and tiny extra room. We really can’t figure out what the extra room is for except that it connects the living room to the dining room.
More later… Time for work.

So I heard this rumor

… that eons ago a Pope said “Hey, don’t eat meat on Friday” because he wanted to improve the fishing industry in Rome.
Jimmy Akin disagrees and so do I. Let’s be real, folks, if the Pope wanted to improve the fishing business in Italy, why didn’t he just say “You Must Eat Fish.”

Surprise! You’re being kissed by Spookybutt.

In an alternate universe, they dance the flamenco! This strip is from Questionable Content Click the tiny version here to see a really long strip in which Dora finally listens to her cat.

So, holy crap this has been in the making for a long time. I had doubts for awhile, what with Dora being all supportive of everyone while being schemeing on the side and generally looking like she wasn’t going to make a move on him… again.

People are probably expecting Faye to flip out over Dora’s behavior. In the past, when Marten went on a date with Dora faye was totally anxious and not happy about the situation, assured that Marten and Dora were gonig to get horizontal. I doubt things will be much different this time; Faye clearly has feelings for Marten even though she isn’t ready to act.

The real question is how is Marten going to react? I’m on the fence about it. Personally I’m pulling for the extra drama angle where him and Dora get together. Next week: Hilarity ensues?

Also: For those that haven’t read QC, I probably made it sound like a drama-fest; it isn’t. Well, okay so it is a drama-fest, but it’s also a hilarious drama-fest. I laugh at an average of 2.3 panels per strip. It’s high-density hilarity at its finest.
