Last night, I got to spend a high-quality, ridiculously fun evening with some of my girl-friends. When our fun ended, I stayed at Amanda’s apartment. It was the first night Matt & I were away from each other since our wedding, and boy was it odd. I was excited about sleeping on the Ultimate Futon Mattress, but it really just wasn’t the same sleeping there all by myself. I would have liked to share it with my dh. Alas, he was 40 minutes away pretending to be single again and sleeping at his mom’s house on the Wonderfully Firm Mattress purchased by his grandmother.
I missed my cuddle buddy. And I have no intentions of sleeping by myself for a long time.

The baby was born just two days before the wedding. She’s the first baby Matt recalls holding. She was also the first baby I’ve held while wearing wedding rings. It’s craziness. And she’s just too darn cute. We’re waiting impatiently for her parents to need a break & call in our offer to baby-sit.

We’re also waiting impatiently for hubby’s employment status to change so we can start talking about houses and a few babies of our own so we don’t have to borrow them from various friends and relatives.

Some day, Matt will post more. Seeing as I’m generally the more talkative one, I think I’ll probably babble here more, too.

*edited to add that I have a feeling we’ll be waiting a long time to get to baby-sit because I’m not sure how Maureen & Tony could ever need a break from all that cute-ness

Name Change To-Do List:
**Get a new social security card
**Change the name on my credit cards
**Change the billing information for my cell phone so that we can perhaps combine the cell phone bill with the real phone bill
**Finish notifying people at work so that my paycheck will have my new name on it (they can’t change anything with out the SS Card)

Miscellaneous Other Things To-Do List:
**Create inserts for thank you notes
**Write thank you notes
**Assemble thank you notes
**Mail thank you notes
**Decide which pictures belong in our wedding album
**Show pictures to assorted friends & relatives & let them pick things out
**Order pictures
**Gather orders for my PartyLite party.

My name is almost officially completely changed.
This is what I’ve done so far:
Driver’s License
Opened joint bank accounts with my husband
Changed my payroll information to go to said bank
Changed the name on the insurance policy & added my husband
Added my husband to my health insurance at work
Told dear old OPM that I’m a married woman now
Transferred the title on my husband’s car from his & his mom’s names to our names.

This is what’s left to do:
Transfer the title on my car from just my name to both of our names
Get a new social security card
Change the name on my credit cards
