66 Days Until the Wedding

We are 5 days away from 2 months from the wedding. I'd just like to say that I love Amy. :)

That, and if you don't know what she did her entire first year out of college, that I will be sad. So make sure you know. Or I'll be sad. Unless you bring me cheese. Then I'll be okay. I think.

66 Days Until the Wedding

Never mind. I won't be doing a Breech of Etiquette page. It seems that our website at theknot.com has already done so for us. Apparently in registering for a website with theknot.com we also agreed to allow them to search the web for any and all online gift registries we may have. Remind me to read my TOS with them more carefully. So, as much as Matt & I did not want that information publicized for the sake of Emily Post's good name, it appears we didn't have any choice in the matter. So go there if you want to see where we're registered. They did miss one... but I'm not telling what it is because if you don't know then you have no clue what I did for my entire first year out of college.

66 Days Until the Wedding

More blogging for the sake of blogging. It's Mario Lemieux Day!

Briefly, rings are being designed, Mary Ann & George met Matt last weekend, I have a shoe catastrophe on my hands and WAY too much to do this weekend. Did I mention we lose an hour of sleep on Saturday? Look for invitations in the mail right around Easter. Also coming soon, Amy & Matt's Breech of Etiquette page for all of you wonderful inquiring minds who don't want to ask.

77 Days Until the Wedding

I was just over at CYA playing a fun little forum game and blurted out a piece of wedding information that I don't think is posted anywhere here on the wedlog so I thought I ought to post about it. It's not like it's a secret or anything but for some reason we hadn't told many people yet.
Matt & I have decided that for our first dance we're going to dance to Storybook Love from the soundtrack for the greatest film ever... The Princess Bride.
Also, I emailed the photographer today with a preliminary list of pictures we'd like to have taken. And I'm going to go fix the old link to his website when I'm done with this.
Last weekend, Matt, my mom and I all went to see the florist and got all that good stuff worked out.
This week, I started addressing the outside envelopes for the invitations. This is taking far longer than I had thought it would.
Next week, we're going to meet with a jeweler who designs custom wedding bands so that we can get something made that will both fit and match my incredible antique ring.

83 Days Until the Wedding

We finally managed to get our engagement announcement published. See it online here or in this weekend's edition of the Butler Eagle or on Wednesday in the News Weekly and Cranberry Eagle.

86 Days Until the Wedding

Lisa picked this shoe to wear for my wedding. I'm a happy girl now. Nobody else seems to have trouble shoe shopping so I figure if my sister can do it everyone else should be good to go. The girls have the option of getting the same as Lisa, or just a similar style in the same color. And I need to find my shoes. Unlike Lisa, my feet don't quite look right in those shoes (I have short toes, I think) so I need to shop around a little more.

And I finally heard back from our florist... I think Matt & I are going to stop down to visit her on Saturday.

Just gotta get these darned invitations addressed. 10 more weeks. eep.

90 Days Until the Wedding

P.S. Matt has been MIA lately due to Senior Project. Expect him to return to Wedlog land very very soon :)

90 Days Until the Wedding

I really just felt like this day needed to be recorded in the blog. There's not a whole lot to report except that my family is making it quite obvious that we need to expand our registry to more stores. We were quite happy with the one large registry we set up but nobody seems to want to shop there. This makes us sad because it's stuff we like gosh darn it or we wouldn't have registered for it. So I guess it's back to the scan-guns for us next weekend. I still refuse to register at that red store... so don't even suggest it.
And I think Matt started to make some headway with the beverage thing... but I don't think we'll ever really know until all things liquid arrive at the reception hall.
The post office has new pretty floral stamps. They just came out on Friday and that happened to be when Grandma went to buy our stamps so we got those instead of the old weird looking love stamps.
I maintain the statement that I should be working on lists instead of blogging but for some reason blogging is just a little bit more fun.
