I assume that anyone who reads this is either friend or family, so I'd really love it if you'd sign up for our forum, too.
The forum is 100% secure and Matt & I decide who is allowed to join so you don't have to make up some secret screen name for yourself because we know exactly who is on the board & who has access to different things. The purpose of the forum is for people who know us to get to know each other prior to all the fun & festivities of the wedding. We have such an assortment of friends from various areas that we thought it would be the easiest method of having everyone get to know each other a little better. 291 Days Until the Wedding

Called the new and improved caterer & he wrote us in to the book. Says we don't have to do anything else until after the first of the year when we'll sit down to work out the menu & put our deposit down. This is exciting, but also makes me a little nervous. The other caterer pretty much handed me a completed contract & told me to mail it to her after I signed it. So I wasn't expecting things to be so simple as a phone call & boom we're set.

Picked a florist today because Matt says I can do whatever I want about flowers.

We have appointments set up to meet with both a DJ and a Photographer before we leave for vacation.

And in un-wedding-related news, this time next week we'll be on our way to the beach!!!!

Mom talked to Father Ritzert & Rita on Saturday night and we've been cleared to choose another caterer for my wedding. Mom seemed very happy with this. I had given her a menu from another caterer that Matt & I thought we liked and she looked at all the info from that caterer & said what about this other menu? The other menu was more expensive. OK folks you can pick yourselves up off the ground & start breathing again... I know it's rare for my mother to suggest spending more money but it really does happen on occasion. So this is a good thing... I just have to call them & see when we can go up to meet & discuss exact menu stuff and pricing and exactly what services they provide etc.
