It’s About Time ;o)

WAY back in May, I was interviewed by Arwen/Elizabeth and Father Tharp asked to be interviewed. I posted questions and we finally have the answers

In all fairness, he did email me with his answers awhile ago, but the game was that he needed to publish them at Catholic Ragemonkey. Now everyone else gets to see the answers :o) Matt was quite pleased with the answers, especially the ones about cheese & beer.

Does ANYBODY out there remember Bean the Bunny? (Matt says I can’t name the potential new kitty “Bean” *sad face*)

I Think I Hear the Shop-Vac

We were at a picnic this evening and my husband was sucked into wanting a cat again. The hosts of the picnic have some very cute free kittens that need homes, so we *might* be getting one. We need to check with the landlords (we’re thinking they’ll say yes because the other tenants have a yippy dog), price the routine vet stuff to see if it’s in the budget and see if we can acquire any free kitty stuff from Matt’s mom. This is Matt’s incentive to get himself a job.
What do I think of all this? I’m scared to death. I’ve never owned an animal that could puke on my carpet. I’m used to only ever having fish… speaking of, we got a new Betta for our anniversary. His name is Newton and I can’t believe I haven’t mentioned him sooner.
If we get this kitten, he’s going to need a name. We’re looking for a naming gimic, something that we can continue with if we get more cats someday. The fish gimic is that our fish will be named after mathematicians, so I’m looking for something a bit more exciting for cats. Any suggestions?

Scrapper’s Daily Dose

I surfed into a new website this morning. Scrapper’s Daily Dose could be very dangerous. Hopefully it’ll give me some new ideas and help keep me motivated.

About that Laundry

It’s finally done! I wimped out yesterday, but this morning I got up & went and was back by 9:00am. It’s great. Putting it away might have to wait ’til tomorrow, though, when I’m “chained to the oven.”
Today, I’m off to deliver our Father’s Day gift to my dad and on my way home I’ll stop & visit with various other fun relatives who are camping nearby. If only it were a little warmer… I might go swimming. The sun is out & it’s warm in the sun, but it’s just not warm enough to get me into the pool.
Tomorrow, I’ll be cooking and crafting (and putting away laundry) until Matt gets home from “work” then we’re going to an RCIA-class-reunion picnic. I’m making Glee’s Beans, Betty Crocker’s Scalloped Potatoes and Carrie’s Taco Dip. It’s the most food I’ve ever made at one time, I think. I’ve made the taco dip several times, so I know that’ll be fine, I just hope I do OK with the other two.

Pretty Dresses

This one is for Anne Shirley. Recently, she blogged about how sad it is that we missed some really cute fashion trends. She actually linked to a cute dress that is similar-ish to two that I bought this spring and I told her I had pictures of them, so here they are. They’re not the greatest and they’re not full-length shots, but I’ll work on that. I try to find as many chances as I can to wear them.
