Scripture Verse of the Day

You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. James 5:8

Oh, how I needed to see this today… It’s going to be a long day & I’m going to need a LOT of patience!

RCIA Picnic

Pat & Vicki had everyone over to their farm on 06/19/2005. It was a good time with good food and good friends. They let all the kids ride one of their horses and gave quad rides around the property. This is also where we met Ratzi for the first time. Pictures are here with more to come soon.

And Now They’ll Have to Fix It.

They broke ground!

Our nice little church, the Church of the Beloved Disciple in Grove City has finally broken ground on its new church. I’m not entirely sure when they broke it, but when we drove past around 6pm, there were piles of dirt, and a construction equipment and other fun things like that. Whee!

i’m really really sick

If this bothers you half as much as it bothers me, PLEASE send a complaint. This not about where this ebay seller will spend eternity, it is about blatant disrespect for another faith tradition and attempting to make money while doing so. This transaction cannot be allowed, and I believe that it violates ebay’s rules of what can and cannot be sold on the site.

Edited to add and reiterate: Ebay has rules regarding what items may or may not be sold on the site. I believe that the Eucharist falls into the category of a prohibited item as the seller admits to stealing it. Doing anything other than consuming the Eucharist or taking it to a sick person who will consume it is STEALING. Stolen property is not permitted to be sold on Ebay.

Also, and I’m going to make this a permanent part of the template… for readers without blogger accounts, PLEASE sign your names to your comments. Annonymous comments will be deleted.

Examination of Conscience

Since the season of Lent is big on suffering penance, self-denial and reconciliation, I thought I’d link to a really good Examination of Conscience originally published during Advent over at Fathers Know Best
So, there you have it, folks. A great tool to make even better use of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Say a prayer for all who struggle with the sacrament of reconciliation and for all who have recently made or will soon make their first confession.
